Cars data needed for BMW EDIABAS software (INPA, NCS-Expert, WinKFP). Those files contain EEPROM flash images, diagnostic communication and coding settings for specific models. Since those files are very large it's possible to download and install data packages required only for specific model and groups.

Versions and Release Dates
Release dates of some versions. based on information found on message boards. [1]
The download is about 10gb but that is all of the daten files for every model. If you want just e60 it would be a smaller download. I do not think anyone wants to be sued by BMW. SP-DATEN:Important to setup your PC with the right setting before attempting to do the upgrade. INPA is not updateable with SP=Daten as it uses only the.PRG files in EDIABAS and its own.iPO files. Here is a full INPA with F and E series for you to download, but no one holds the responsibility for what you will do. If you don’t wanna take any risk with INPA K+DCAN, here is a tested version for you.

- Latest SP-Daten for BMW E60 530d 2004 I'm trying to figure all the things out. Just bought the OBDII cable with software, installed it on my laptop on Win 10 64bit, but NCS Expert gives some compatibility error, even If INPA works without problems.
The BMW Coding Tool 2.50 allows you to update your SP-DATEN (Data files) automatically instead of manually installing the files by copy and pasting files. It will automatically update the files that require replacing and skip the files that you don’t need!

Required Hardware: K + D-CAN “INPA” OBD2 Interface Cable with FTDI FT232RL or FT232RQ Chip

1. We need to set our default folders for NCSExpert, WinKFP, and EDIABAS. See the screenshots.

2. Once all the folders are set we can now proceed to updating our SPDatens. Doing this by selecting the “Select SP-source” button and then select the folder with the new SPDaten. I always like to start with the earliest model which is E36.
Path should look something like mine in the screenshot.

3. Now that we have set our SPDaten path we can now select the “Update SP-daten” button.
Only all NEWER files will be copied from:
…SP-DATEN-ExxECU –> …EDIABASECU
…SP-DATEN-ExxSGDAT –> …EC-APPSNFSSGDAT
…SP-DATEN-ExxSGDAT –> …NCSEXPERSGDAT
…SP-DATEN-ExxDATEN –> …NCSEXPERDATENExx
also update of files in …NCSEXPERDATEN
You will notice the files that have been replaced will display update –> **.** and the ones that did not require updating will displayremain –> **.**
In my case as displayed in the image below all will show remain because I have already updated them.
4. Now repeat the same steps for WinKFP…
/realguitar-license-file.html. Select the “Update WinKFP” button and all folders will be copied and replaced from:
…SP-DATEN-ExxDATA –> …EC-APPSNFSDATA
also update of SGIDC.AS2 in …EC-APPSNFSDATAGDATEN to adjust the “long lines”
backup’s of all folders are saved as …name_date_time
5. Once completed, repeat the same steps for all base models so from E36 to E89. Congratulations you now have successfully updated your NCSExpert and WinKFP with your latest SP-DATEN files.
